It shows Hortensia Herrero herself, her husband, Juan Roig, and their four daughters posing together during the presentation of the flag to the National Police of the Valencian Community, held at the Zapadores Police Station. The snapshot, taken outdoors with the family lined up around Hortensia Herrero, is an unusual sight for one of the most influential business groups in the country.

Herrero served as godmother at a solemn ceremony in which the National Police were granted the right to carry and safeguard the national flag, a symbol of service and public vocation. Accompanied by her family, Hortensia Herrero played a central role in one of the event’s key moments when she presented the flag to the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska. The foundation emphasized in its statement its president’s commitment to Valencian society and public institutions.
